One of the main resons I am creating this blog is because of the influence of my Singaporean Friend, whom i met recently in my internship. She made a hundred of blogs and I can say she really did impress me a lot. That’s why I was inspired to create this blog because I want to tell my views about culture, politics, and religion in the Philippines. Ill try to do it as comprehensive as I can: honest and straight to the point.
I always have a lot of things to say about everything. But i always have been quiet, hopeful and thinking that someday everything would soon slowly change. But Im reallly not seeing the changes that my country needed for the longest time. I guess million of Filipinos are a lot like me - just waiting for the spark to initiate change, i guess its safe to say that we all have a cultural identity.
I am really against the way of how the system works in our country. I guess I can say — we Filipinos have a hard time growing from the things that we were used to. What we think is right is a totally different right from the universal definition of what is right. I guess we have been used to doing things that we have been accustomed to for a VERY LONG time its now more of a routine that we follow and not anymore mind whether we are doing it right or wrong.
CORRUPTION - I guess this is the most profound SYSTEM in the Philippines that we all have thought is wrong yet we still keep doing it because its the fastest way to go through our very ineffecient government. This is true. I guess Im also a suspect of corruption for having paid a “fixer” fix my driver’s license. It will take me a week if I haven’t paid a fixer - which only took me two days. If the government was more effecient then I guess corruption would be erradicated. I mean, who would bother paying a fixer if you can get your license in an hour’s time?
INFERIORITY COMPLEX - I know amongst all other nations that Filipinos have a great potential
